In supersession of the earlier notification No. APSPCB-34/2005/CPCB/2381-2400 dated 17th June, 2010  and in exercise of power conferred under sub-section (1) of section – 4 of water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and sub-section (1) of section – 5 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the State Government hereby reconstitutes Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board with the following members.

Non- official Members will be entitled to get TA/DA as admissible to “Group A” officers of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

The function of the Boards shall be as prescribed under section-17 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution Act, 1974 and under section-17 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and such other functions as may be envisaged from time to time in the interest of environmental conservation for the state.
In the performance of its functions under these Acts, the Board shall be bound by such directions in writings as the Central Board or the State Government may give to it.

Provided that where a direction given by the State Government is inconsistent with the directions given by the Central Board, the matter shall be referred to the Central Government for its direction.
